Frank Edoho reveals the reason he will no longer be anchoring “Who wants to be a millionaire”


Frank Edoho has responded to reports that he was dropped from the new sponsors of popular family TV show “Who wants to be a millionnaire (WWTBAM)”.

A report circulating on the internet said that Edoho, who anchored the quiz show was dropped by organsers of the show over what was described as “Amicable agreement”. A representative for the TV show reprotedly told  Punch News Saturday Beats, that,“We are not dropping him because we had any issue with him. I think he feels it is time to go and find other endeavours.”  Claims that Edoho has refuted.Claims that Edoho has refuted.

‘Who wants to be a millionnaire’ – Popular TV show set to return to Nigeria airwaves

 

The former anchor used his Twitter account to clarify some of the grey areas surrounding thetermination of his relationship with the show. The first of his tweets on the matter read,

Kindly allow me (to) announce, that after a disagreement in negotiations Ultimalimited I have decided to decline hosting WWTBAM any further.”

This was quickly followed with a pledge to no longer keep quiet about falsehoods told about him.

“I declined the offer. If the source says otherwise, I’ll unleash evidence. I’m not going to be silent about lies about me anymore.”

 

 

The show returns to TV today, 3 September 2017. A new sponsor, Airopay, has been secured after MTN severed its relationship with programme in June this year. The hihest prize money is now NGN5 million naira, down from NGN10 million when MTN was its sponsor.
