Wattpad Is Making Online Writing Into Mainstream.

A year ago, if you come across a writer, the first thing you ask is ‘Where is your book?’ (and you most likely expect a paperback, with the name of a popular publishing house endorsed on its cover). But today, it is undeniable that you are most likely to find more books on the internet than you can ever hope to find in printed pages.

Wattpad saw that coming, and the online company made a community of writers, readers and readers trying to write.

The popularity helped her land a deal with Paramount for the movie rights and a book deal with Simon & Schuster with both deals giving her seven figure earnings each.
