Famous rapper Tupac Shakur died in September 1996 after a drive-by shooting.
Tupac who was born on June 16, 1971, in East Harlem, New York, was shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas by an unknown shooter. He died at the hospital 6 days later. The rapper married Keisha Morris on 2 April 1995, but the couple divorced in 1996
Tupac Shakur’s mother and many of his family were members of The Black Panther revolutionary party and their beliefs informed Shakur’s music.

More than a decade after his death on this day in 1996, his five studio rap albums including Me Against the World and All Eyez on Me remain extremely influential in the music industry.
