Suarez says VAR is "a blow to your happiness"

Despite a thorough 8-2 trashing of Huesca in their last La Liga outing, Luis Suarez has complained about the VAR system used in the league.

His first goal had to be checked the VAR to make sure that Jordi Alba was onside before delivering the cross that gave the Uruguayan his first goal of the season.

“When you have doubts, with the VAR, you’ll lose your adrenaline and desire to celebrate,”

‘It’s a blow to your happiness. You can’t make mistakes as everything is so controlled.”

The forward also made a few comments about his team’s current performance, noting that they were slowly finding their rhythm

”Little by little we’re finding our rhythm. We were asleep a little bit at the beginning (when Huesca scored), although that forced us to react,” Suarez said.

“It’s always important to be at the top,” he continued.

“But things are just getting started and we have to be prepared for what is to come.
