Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez grabbed a brace in Inter Milan’s 2-1 victory at Parma on Thursday to move the leaders six points clear at the top of the Italian Serie A table.

Both teams had a couple of opportunities to score in the first half, with Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic forced into a fine save by the hosts’ Jasmin Kurtic, while Inter’s Romelu Lukaku could not convert from a good position just before the interval.

Just after the break, Antonio Conte‘s side began to show their quality with Alexis Sanchez meeting a loose ball to score in the 54th minute and he then added a second eight minutes later after brilliant work from Lukaku.

The hosts Parma cut the deficit in the 71st minute as Hernani finished from close range, but Inter held on for another vital victory in their bid for a first Scudetto in 11 years.
