Nigeria’s Super Eagles were kicked out of the AFCON Sunday night by the Desert Foxes of Algeria in a 2-1 defeat at full time. The match took place at the Cairo International stadium.

Some Nigerians have blamed the defeat on the all green jersey, saying that it is bad luck and have expressed their preference for the other jersey. Fans have taken to Twitter to express their displeasure and disappointment. Some said that the failure began when Ekong scored an own goal.
