The jersey, which was designed with predominantly Nigerian colours white and green with splashes of black, have been preordered by 3 million people according to Nike.
Several Nigerian fans had rushed to get the ‘fakes’ even before their official release today, which seems not to have affected sales.
Responding to a fan who was having difficulty ordering online, Nike said all three jerseys have been sold out and they currently have no plans for a restock. The jersey retailed for £64.95 (N31,241.30), while others are prices as shown below:
