'Little black dress' designer Hubert de Givenchy dies at 91

French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, who is best known for the little black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast with Tiffanys has died at the age of 91.
The house of Givenchy made the announcement on Monday 12th March via its official Twitter account:
“The house of Givenchy is sad to report the passing of its founder Hubert de Givenchy, a major personality in the world of French Haute Couture and a gentleman who symbolized Parisian chic and elegance for more than half a century. He will be greatly missed.”

His longtime partner, former haute couture designer Philippe Venet, revealed in a statement to AFP that Givenchy died in his sleep on Saturday.
The French Fashion designer created famous looks for Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly and other renowned persons. One of the Givenchy was showcased at this year’s Oscar, where Black Panther star Boseman wore a custom design.
