Mateo Kovacic is reportedly bent on leaving leave Real Madrid if he does not get a regular starting spot.
AS reports that Kovacic returned to training for the first time since the World Cup break on Sunday but the Croatian midfielder is considering refusing to train in order to speed up his exit from the Bernabeu.
The 24-year-old reportedly met with Madrid’s new head coach, Lopetegui to inform him of his desire to leave and also made it clear to his teammates that he planned to leave the club.

Real, however, have maintained that the player is not for sale as it’d be expensive to find a player of his quality as a replacement.
AS reports that Lopetegui believes that he can persuade the midfielder to stay.
