Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar who got dragged onlinedragged online by an American mum for catfishing her baby’s picture to announce the birth of her son has finally spoken about it.

Halima put to bed on 3rd April 2020 according to an Instagram post she shared with fans to announce the great news. Halima uploaded a picture of tiny fists holding an adult’s thumb and we assumed those belong to the newborn and mum respectively.

However, an American mum dragged the actress online, stating that the ctress stole her baby’s picture and Nigerians reacted to the news also by dragging the actress on Twitter, as per they’re sometimes wont to do not, notwithstanding that the whole drama happened on Instagram.

Taking to her Instagram page, Halima Abubakar explains why she couldn’t post her baby’s real picture. According to her, she gave birth to her baby prematurely, so she couldn’t post his picture.

Sharing half picture of her baby, she writes: “He will be discharged tmr from icu (intensive care unit). I didn’t post cos he was premature. God saved him. I just had to post this.
