Gabrielle Union speaks about exiting 'America’s Got Talent'

American actress and producer, Gabrielle Union-Wade has broken her silence for the first time since she was relieved of her judge role on “America’s Got Talent” show in November 2019.

In an interview with Variety, Union spoke about the “toxic work environment” she experienced on the NBC set, which resulted in her and fellow judge Julianne Hough being fired from the show in December.

In a virtual interview with Variety magazine, the actress says: “I signed up for the experience of being a part of a show that hails itself as the biggest stage in the world. Super diverse, and one about giving people an opportunity to shine where they otherwise probably wouldn’t.

The actress spoke out about the negative moments she experienced while on the set of the popular competition show. These incidents included allegations of both a toxic work environment that included racist jokes and race-related comments.

Speaking on her experience making a complaint about Cowell whom she called “the most powerful person” on the set smoking, and according to Union, she became sick because of that.
