EFA slams Salah over security demands - "No player is greater than the game"

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has finally replied Mohammed Salah’s letter written by his Lawyer Ramy Abbas Issa but it is not the type of reply the Liverpool star man would have been hoping for.

Salah called for more protection as he felt unsafe during training and while in his hotel room on international duty.

This is because his fans never seem to get enough of him and end up harassing him by interrupting his training and sleep.

The EFA has now slammed the 26-year-old implying that his demands are too much and that “No player is greater than the game or team he represents”

“Whilst you see fit to quote Thomas Jefferson in your correspondence, please be reminded:

“No player is greater than the game, or the team that he represents.

“Football is a team game and not a result of the efforts of any one individual.”

“For the record, we would advise that the EFA qualified for the World Cup as a result of the efforts of the Egyptian Team and management, and not as a result of the efforts of any individual player.

“Any player selected to represent his country is treated equally and does not and will not receive special privileges above any other player.

“Your contention that the Association has disrespected Mr. Salah whilst on international duty is treated with the contempt that it deserves.”
