Vidal has reportedly agreed personal terms with Inter Milan according to Italian media sources.
The 31-year-old who currently plays for Bayern Munich appears set to return to the Serie A after leaving Juventus.
The deal between Inter and Bayern is reportedly very close to being completed, it includes an initial one-season loan before the transfer is made permanent.
The transfer is expected to cost between €20m and €25m.

Vidal previously played in the Serie A for Inter Milan rivals Juventus before leaving for Bayern in 2015.
