Arsenal Football Club of England coach, Arsene Wenger, yesterday in a post-match interview, joked he would have probably committed suicide after his side’s first game of the New Year against Chelsea almost ended in defeat.

The North London club scored the first goal of the march via a Jack Wilshere goal in the 63rd minute, but couldn’t pull a win after the game ended 2-2 draw.

Speaking shortly after the match, Arsene Wenger, whose side now sit sixth on the EPL table; five points behind fourth placed Liverpool and 23 points behind league leaders Manchester City, said that he would’ve gone home and probably committed suicide had his side lost to Chelsea at the Emirates.

I don’t know… maybe I would’ve gone home and committed suicide tonight”, Wenger jokingly told journalists at the post-match press briefing.

The Arsenal manager, however, admitted to being close to “shock” in the dying minutes of the match before his side drew level.
