Popular Nigerian Yoruba actor and filmmaker Adedimeji Adetola Lateef has taken to his Instagram page to admonish Nigerians to start preparing for a comeback after the crisis.
According to the actor, there’s an opportunity in every crisis, so he urges Nigerians to get ready for a come back after the crisis.

“For every crisis, there’s an opportunity just the way there’s a gift in every pain. How? When someone dies, people tend to mourn. However, the man who sells caskets will smile at his bank account. That’s life.
“Similarly, remember when you got stuck in traffic and were perhaps on the verge of missing an important appointment, you were sad but the hawkers were happy and made sales. Thus, one man’s loss can be another man’s gain. In other words, nothing means anything except the meaning you give to it.
“So, you must always review your situation because what it means to you may not be what it actually means to others. For example, tech companies are really benefiting at this time. Netflix recorded an increase in revenue at this period because the lockdown has forced people to watch movies more often. The founder of Zoom, an app for online meetings recorded over $4 billion in revenue. The founder of WhatsApp is equally smiling at this period. Think of the data you’ve bought at this period. How about those in healthcare, food companies, grocery stores, etc?
“So, the question is, ‘how can you switch from being a victim at this period to becoming a victor?’ Viktor Frankl said, ‘when we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.’ So, its time to change your perception and behaviour. How can you change the way you live and run your business? How can you take advantage of ICT for sustenance?
“Even if you can’t do much at this time, *then start preparing ahead because after this crisis, the world will not remain the same. And you don’t prepare for war during the time of war. You prepare for war during the time of peace.* So, start preparing for a comeback now. Read books, learn new skills online and do the needful so that you don’t become obsolete after this phase simply because you didn’t upgrade yourself.
