Netflix’s Squid Game Sets To Release Season 2 Soon

Netflix has confirmed that the Squid game, one of its most-watched series, will return with a second season

The show’s producers, writer, and executive producer, Hwang Dong-hyuk, confirmed its return in a letter to fans that reads, “And now, Gi-hun returns.” Dong-hyuk, one of the main and lovable characters, teased new developments, viewers would be newly introduced to Cheol-su, the “boyfriend” of the infamous animatronic doll of the show, “Young-hee.”

 The “Squid Game” surely deserves a second season following the global love and attention. The show’s marker wrote in a letter he addressed to the general public, “It took about 12 years to get the first season of the most-watched seasonal movie ‘Squid Game’ to life last year. But it only took 12 days before ‘Squid Game’ become one of the most famous Netflix series.”

Although Netflix is still to confirm the main show’s release date, many fans of “Squid Game” have taken it to social media to express their excitement for a second season. 

What to be expected

In May, Hwang Dong-hyuk hinted that the show’s second season would be packed with drama and suspense even more than the previous season. 

The creator of the series, while speaking to Variety, revealed that the second season of the famous Korean series would question humanity and if it can conquer all as a united front. 

He said, “Humanity is going to be tested through those games once again.”He added, also added  “I want to ask the question, ‘Is true solidarity between humans possible?’“

Dong-hyuk also pointed out that the disconnect between players accounted for the many deaths in the first season. 

“If they were capable of talking with one another, of co-operating with one another, I do agree that there could have been a possibility that we could have seen more winners,” he added.
