Before the show, she had reflected on how she struggled in the past before attaining prestige. Speaking about it, she said: “Sometimes it gets me very emotional to see how far I have come from where I started. From selling corn to fuel to a lot of things, I did before this Mercy.
“I am proud of myself, and a lot of people are proud of me and looking up to me. Where I am today is through my hard work. I haven’t done anything yet. I still have so many big dreams to achieve.”
A few weeks after she celebrated her 27th birthday, last year, with Ike, her BBNaija lover by her side, Mercy Eke went on to spark marriage rumours.
Many fans of the star and some social media users believed it to be a publicity stunt for a new music video.
Well, we have reasons to believe that their guess might have been right as since then, there’s been no other news of the star’s marriage or husband.
