I’m 53% Nigerian – Lil Wayne; jokes he’s gonna have a talk with his mum

American legendary rapper Lil Wayne has claimed to be 53% Nigerian. He made this claim in an interview with Drink Champ.

During the interview with the Drink Champ show on Revolt TV hosts, Rapper N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN referred to Lil Wayne as the best rapper alive. The hosts went further to ask the rapper why he mentioned Nigeria in the lyrics of one of his songs.

The rapper replied by saying: “Shout out to Nigeria, I did my 23 and me ancestry dot com and my s--t came back like 53% Nigerian. Yea! Me and my mum need to have a talk (Laughter)”

Lil Wayne was further asked if he has visited Nigeria before and he replied that he hadn’t visited the country before. He said, ” I gat to go to Nigeria…I gat to go see that place”

Lil Wayne’s visit to Nigeria will add him to the long list of international acts visiting our beautiful country.
