Wizkid ‘Ayodeji Balogun’ of STARBOY Entertainment finally released his highly anticipated “Made In Lagos” album on the 29th of October 2020 after he had to delay it due to the #EndSARS and #EndPoliceBrutality protests in the country.
“Made In Lagos” was previously slated for a 15 October 2020 release but out of respect, the music icon postponed the release to the 29th of October as he joined the youths to say #EndPoliceBrutality in Nigeria.
The Lagos-born singer alongside a host of musicians and celebrities including Beyoncé and Burna Boy lent their voice in calling for an end to police brutality and Nigeria’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The brand new “Made In Lagos” album contains 14 tracks and it features Burna Boy, Skepta, Ella Mai, Tems, among others.
Wizkid says in an interview: “The production on the album is mainly centred around Yoruba, Afro-Latin and Afrobeats percussion, which creates a sense of homecoming.”
