Nigerian-French singer, songwriter, and recording artist Bukola Elemide famously known as Asa released her debut album “Asa (Asha)” on 20 October 2008.
Asa, clearly a talented singer and songwriter with a great voice started music after returning to France where she met her manager and friend, Janet Nwose in 2004.
Asa was introduced to Cobhams Asuquo and the rest is history as the entire ‘Asa (Asha)’ album was produced by the talented Cobhams.
Her debut album “Asa (Asha)” brought her into the limelight showcasing her beautiful vocals and talent to the world at large. She funkily fused the best of Western and African together and created music that opens hearts and minds, paving the way for deeper understanding.
The album placed Asa on the world map as her songs were charting radios across Europe, Asia, and Africa. She also went on to win the prestigious French Constantin Award in 2008, when she was voted best fresh talent of 10 singers or groups by a jury of 19 music-industry specialists in Paris.
