The Duke and Duchess have founded an unnamed production company and signed a huge deal with Netflix that will see them produce documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s shows.
A statement from Meghan, 39, and Harry, 35, said: “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”
They added that Netflix’s “unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”
Meghan will not be returning to acting, a representative told NY Times. Her last acting role was in Suits in 2018. The Duchess may make an appearance in documentaries, however.
Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer said: “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.”
Less than a month ago, the couple moved into their own $14.7 million home in a private estate in Montecito, north of Malibu. They currently live there with their one-year-old son, Archie.
