American actor John Travolta revealed that he got candid with his son after his wife, Kelly Preston, died in 2020.
The actor bore it all about his wife’s, Kelly Preston, death and how he coped with it in a recent interview. He had lost his wife of 19 years, Kelly Preston, in July 2020 after two years of a prolonged battle with breast cancer. Travolta also had to sell the mansion in Maine that he had bought with her after they got married in 1991
He recently made an appearance on Peacock’s “Hart to Heart” show, where he stated that he had a difficult talk with his son Ben after Preston passed away.
He said: “[Ben] said to me once, ‘Because mom passed away, I’m afraid you’re going to’. I said, ‘Well, it’s a very different thing.’ And I went through the differences about my longevity and her limited life.”

Continuing, he said: “I said, ‘But you know, Ben, you always love the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. Nobody knows when they’re gonna go or when they’re going to stay.’
“‘Your brother [Jett] left at 16. Too young. Your mother left at 57. That was too young. But who’s to say? I could die tomorrow. You could. Anybody can. So let’s look at it that its part of life. You don’t know exactly. You just do your best at trying to live the longest you can.’“
American actor Kelly Preston died at the age of 57 after 2 years of battle with breast cancer. She was married to American actor John Travolta.
According to the actor, Preston had been sick for two years, and he thanked her doctors and friends for their support. The couple has three children together, daughter Ella, 20, and son, Benjamin, nine. Their son, Jett, died in 2009, aged 16.
