Barack and Michele Obama may be out of the White House, but they certainly are not done with governance. The 44th POTUS and his wife have an animated series, “We The People,” premiering on Netflix on America’s birthday, 4 July.
As stated in its logline, the series, which consists of 10 episodes, will combine music and animation to educate a new generation of young Americans about the power of the people.
The series will have 3 minutes long animated music videos about US civic lessons designed to teach young people about government. Each episode will feature original music performed by artists like Adam Lambert, H.E.R, Bebe Rexha, Janelle Monáe, and poet Amanda Gorman amongst others.

In its press release, Netflix said, “We the People, is an exuberant call to action for everyone to rethink civics as a living, breathing thing and to reframe their understanding of what government and citizenship mean in a modern world.”
