One of the key traits that made H.E.R into a multi-Grammy award singer is her ability to put her soul into her singing and songwriting. Her songs make a difference every single time, and it’s no wonder Netflix partnered with her to do a song for their series, “We The People”.
The Netflix series, “We The People”, is aimed at helping US citizens know their civic rights through music, created by the Obamas.
H.E.R asked very potent questions on the song: “If I’m just one person will my voice even stand out?”, “Can I make a difference if I don’t even know how to change?”

She isn’t the only one on the roster for the Netflix series, as there are songs from Janelle Monáe, Adam Lambert, Brandi Carlile, and more to come.
Meek Mill – Flamerz Flow
Finally, some new material from Dream Chasers boss Meek Mill, but is it an indication of plenty more music to come?
Meek, who’s pretty much been under the radar musically this year save his “Lemmon Pepper Frestyle”, premiered “Flamerz Flow” on 2 June 2021.

The video to “Flamerz Flow”, featuring fellow street rappers Bobby Shmurda and Dave East, also sees Meek Mill painlessly do his thing.
Bad Bunny – Yonaguni
This Latina rapper is on a roll at this point. Earlier in the year, he was making his wrestling debut at the biggest stage there is, and then a week ago, Bad Bunny released a fire track ‘100 Millones’ featuring Luar La L and promised another song would be dropping a week after.
The Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter has fulfilled his promise and dropped “Yonaguni”, his third official single of 2021.

Bad Bunny seems to have perfected the art of surprises as he speaks a few Japanese works on his brand new single “Yonaguni”. The video to the song was also unexpected, and that makes it twice as nice.
Tems – Ordinary People
Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems has released new music, but it is more of a cover of another song.
“Ordinary People” is the title of John Legend’s 2009 classic and Tems has moved to do her own version of the song.
As a special for Juneteenth, @AppleMusic asked me to do a cover of the iconic song “Ordinary people” by @johnlegend. I rarely do covers, so this one was definitely an honour.

M.I Abaga – All My Life ft Oxlade
Mr Incredible, M.I Abaga, and singer Oxlade are ‘team love’ on the brand new single “All My Life,” released on Friday, 4 June 2021.
This isn’t the first time the rapper would be creating an enchanting love song. He and Waje did a thing on “One Naira” back in the day.
M.I once again found some chemistry with one of the best new generational talent, Oxlade, as the duo votes for love on their new track.

During the lockdown last year, M.I Abaga and Vector squashed their beef, and it seems to be having something to do with the new direction in music from both camps.
