The Ogun State Police Command paraded three suspects involved in the case of kidnapping and one of them a woman named Olubunmi Funke confessed to reporters that she had a debt that was too big for her to offset as she had no business doing and had been sent out of her husband’s house to live alone with a three year old daughter. She relates that she first took to prostitution but still could not pay up then she met Abibat Oyesanya who told her she was into the BUSINESS of adoption.
Eventually, Funke sold her daughter to Abibat for N280,000 and when she learned that there were demand for more children, she kidnapped a child in Bodija, Ibadan and also handed the child to Abibat.
The Commissioner of Police in the state Ahmed Iliyasu was proud of the accomplishments of his men who were committed to ridding the state of the bad eggs who gave remote areas in Ogun state bad names with their criminal activities.
