During the Plenary Session of the Senate yesterday, the senator representing Imo East, Sen. Sam Anyanwu, had defended the health related bill as very vital. He had mentioned that the most harrowing of experiences came when a loved one is in a medically correctable situation but dies because of the time it takes to get medication attention.
He recalled the President;s speech where he mentioned that there should be an even distribution of facilities all around the country, to prevent any area from being short changed.
Sam Anyanwu had said: ‘I want a situation where health facilities become easy to accss by everyone like GSM’. It is a very relative parallel because we are all familiar with stories about when GSM first made it to the country and how difficult and expensive it was to own one, but now, the case is very different.
