These updates are shared on NCDC’s official Twitter account and help Nigerians to monitor the progress of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
The NCDC has now released new numbers and according to them, the number of new cases recorded seems to have dipped.
This can be attributed to the low number of recorded cases in Lagos State. Out of the total 162 recorded new cases, Lagos State only recorded 26 new cases out of that number.
Gombe recorded 54 new cases, which is the highest number of cases recorded by a state and then, FCT follows with 35 new cases.
These new numbers take the total number of confirmed cases to 62,853 confirmed cases while 58,675 people have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres.
Tragically, 1,144 deaths have also been recorded since the start of the pandemic in the country.
