According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 328 new coronavirus infections were recorded in Nigeria on Friday 5 June 2020.
The NCDC reported this during its nightly coronavirus in Nigeria update.
According to the NCDC, the total number of coronavirus infections in Nigeria now stands at 11,844. Of this number, 333 have died from COVID-19, while 3696 persons have recovered and been discharged from isolation centres across the country. Hence, the active cases in the country now stand at 7,815.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, the NCDC writes: “328 new cases of #COVID19: Lagos-121, FCT-70, Bauchi-25, Rivers-18, Oyo-16, Kaduna-15, Gombe-14, Edo-13, Ogun-13, Jigawa-8, Enugu-6, Kano-5, Osun-2 and Ondo-2.

The NCDC also showed the distribution of the disease across the states in Nigeria.
Lagos State remains the epicentre of the disease with 5,663 infections while Kano State is second with 985 cases. Cross River State is still without any confirmed cases.
