Thursday 19th November 2020 is the International Men’s Day and it is being celebrated by top brands and individuals around the world.
International Men’s Day (IMD) is an event that takes place every year. People all over the world take this day to celebrate men’s and boy’s achievements and contributions.
Most people choose to focus on their contributions to the nation, society, community, family, marriage and childcare. However, it extends to all humanitarian values. There are 44 countries in the world that officially observes the International Men’s Day, some of them are China, Canada, Ghana, Italy, Jamaica, Pakistan, South Africa, United States, and the United Kingdom.
Thomas Oaster is recognised as inaugurating the International men’s Day on 7th February 1992. Trinidad and Tobago also brought the event back in 1999.
Malta has held the longest-running celebration of the event (since 1994) and in 2009, they voted to shift the International Men’s Day from 7th February to 19th November.

The official theme for 2020 International Men’s Day is “Better health for Men and Boys”. This is aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the male population.
