Rashford had to sit out England’s first training session in Russia. The open session took place in front of locals and media at the Spartak Zelenogorsk complex.
The young Manchester United forward was impressive in England’s last friendly against Costa Rica where he scored a wonderful goal.
He will be hoping to take that same form into the world cup and secure a permanent spot on the team.
The Times reports that although the knee injury seems to be a minor one, it is doubtful that he will start the opening game against Tunisia on Monday.
Rashford is not the only one with an injury scare, Kylian Mbappe of PSG also picked up a minor ankle injury but has assured his fans that he was alright via twitter.
Hopefully, he recovers before the opening match.
