Nigerian superstar musician, Wizkid has won the Ashford & Simpson’s songwriter award for Brown Skin Girl alongside Beyonce.

The prestigious award was handed out at the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards which was held on 17 November 2019.

Several celebrities like Summer Walker, Keyshia Cole, Ari Lennox, Issa Rae, H.E.R, and others wowed on the red carpet. The event, which is held annually, honours the best in soul, hip-hop, and R&B, held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Chris Brown and Drake’s No Guidance swept the most awards for the night, with Cardi B winning the Rhythm & Bars award.
