The documentary follows the music in Lagos and Nigeria and how it transcends to London through the eyes of trailblazers from both cities.
The documentary features the undergrounds of the music industry, those who add to the meat of music but are often not recognised. Lagos to London also dispels myths about Nigerian music being monotonous.
In the Lagos section, Mr Eazi sheds light on music distribution, the importance of dance, subcultures within the industry and more. The London section discusses how Afropop influenced western music, the acceptance of African genre of music, the rise in international collaborations, and the quality of the music that’s crossing over.
Mr Eazi enlists varied creatives, including Odunsi The Engine, Wavy The Creator, Julie Adenuga, The Westsyde Crew and Joey Akan to bring the narrative together.
