Tekashi 6ix9ine requested to serve the rest of his sentence on house arrest and got this answer

On Tuesday, Judge Paul Engelmayer denied the rap star’s request to serve out the rest of his jail sentence from his home or from a community correctional facility.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, has been in prison since November 2018 and was sentenced to a 24-month prison sentence for gang-related offences.

He pleaded guilty in Brooklyn to disorderly conduct in connection with a May traffic stop. In 2015, he was sentenced to probation for appearing in a video in which a 13-year-old girl performed a sexual act on another man.

During the plea, 6ix9ine said he joined the Nine Trey Blood Gang in fall 2017 and helped gang members try to kill a rival last March.

“I did this to maintain or increase my own standing in Nine Trey,” he said during his plea.

Before his sentencing, he also wrote a letter to the court apologizing for his past actions. He directly apologized to one of his victims, a woman who was shot in the leg while Tekashi was conducting a gang-related activity.

The rapper was sentenced to 24-months following a plea deal in which he exposed details about members of the Nine Trey gang.

According to TMZ, Tekashi requested confinement out of fear for his safety. He is concerned that he may be harmed by members of the bloods, who he testified against for a reduced sentence.

The rapper is currently being held at a private jail instead of a Federal Prison for security purposes, but his attorney, Lance Lazzaro claimed that “even at the private jail, Hernandez is still housed with various members of the Bloods.”
