#TachaHomecoming trending as BBNaija Tacha visits Port Harcourt

Tacha, full name Anita Natacha Akide, is trending on Twitter as habitual, this time on the hashtag Tacha Homecoming, #TachaHomecoming.

The #TachaHomecoming is a kind of double entendre. On the one hand, it’s referring to Tacha returning to Instagram after temporarily disabling her account over claims she was shadowbanned by Instagram. That’s an explanation she gave wheen she appeared on former Big Brother finalist TBoss’ Instagram Live.

Just before taking down the Instagram page, the Nigerian writer and outspoken critic Joy Isi Bewaji had predicted that the relationship between Tacha and her management team led byTeeBillz may not end well. The timing of the criticism and Tacha taking down the page led to speculation that maybe there was already trouble in the relationship. That was before Tacha appeared on TBoss’ Instagram Live to put the record straight – unless if that well a PR stunt to avoid the appearance of trouble.

In any case, Tacha returned to Instagram on Wednesday 6th November 2019, and which she did with a big announcement that she will be visiting her home town, Port Harcourt.

“HOMECOMING FINNA BE LIT 8th NOV. THIS FRIDAY” was the caption of the first post she shared on return to Instagram.

So, that was the reason for the second meaning of the Homecoming hashtag. So on the one hand, Tacha is back to Instagram and on the second hand, she’s visiting Port Harcourt, her home city.

And her Titan is doing what they do best, hyping the Big Brother ex-reality star on social media. The result, per habit, #TachaHomecoming is trending currently at number two on the Twitter Nigeria trends. The hashtag has over 42 thousand tweets associated with it at the time of writing.

Also, on number three on the Nigeria trends is another hashtag associated with Tacha, #TachaStormsPH. For those who may not know, PH is the acronym for PortHarcourt and often used as a shorthand way to refer to the Garden City.

While in the city, Tacha is expected to meet and greet fans at a couple of locations in Port Harcourt as well as to attend a pool party at Oak Haven Hotel and Suites, Port Harcourt.  She would also go to the government house for a courtesy visit to the executive governor of Rivers State, after all, Tacha is a self-professed Port Harcourt First Daughter, so it’s only fitting she gets to meet with the First Family of Rivers State.

However, it should be noted that neither Tacha nor her management team has provided any details of this visit. The info above was shared on Twitter by one of her loyal Titans. She was the realest! And we kinda find it strange that there isn’t anything official about her visit being shared by Tacha and her management team. It’s almost like they’re shy of publicity. However, Oak Haven confirm the party that will be taking place at their hotel.

So, if you’re a fan and happens to be in Pot Harcourt or its environs, maybe you could find some time to pop in and see Tacha. Or maybe not. You decide whether it’s worth the effort.
