Tyson Fury Adds Bellew To His Hit List
You know, when Arya Stark was reading off the names on her ‘List’ many seasons earlier, it had been funny, but guess who is laughing no more? Tyson Fury, is yet to return to the ring after his last fight in 2015 and numerous drug use issues including a hearing that is coming up at the UK anti-doping court, but it has not stopped him from issuing out threats and added to AJ and Wilder, he has now put Tony Bellew among them. Following reports that Haye who is supposed to face Bellew pulled out, Fury said he was willing to face Tony in the O2 Arena in London.
Money Calling On Newcastle
Though they have impressed this season, it is obvious that the Newcastle team can do much better with more ‘world class’ players, but it costs money. However with the announcement that the club was in the market, made by owner Mike Ashley in October, money should no longer be an issue as a bid has officially been made by Financier Amanda Staveley who has money backing in the Middle East and is reported to be behind the takeover of Manchester City.
Prospective Injury Returnees
Barcelona has received comforting news that their big money signing Ousmane Dembele is set for a return before they face league rivals, Real Madrid and Liverpool’s Joel Matip has been given the pat to feature in their match against Chelsea after being out for a while. Tottenham boss seeks to strengthen his team after two domestic losses and has announced that Danny Rose will return to the starting lineup against Dortmund in the midweek Champions League fixture.
The Axes Keep Falling
The Premier League this season has been much more about people losing their jobs than keeping it. It is not yet the 14th week and the fifth manager has received his marching orders. Pulis was axed after West Brom suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Chelsea this weekend and he joins the likes of Frank De Boer, Shakespear, Bilic and Koeman.
Former Wimbledon Champion Dies
It was a sad day for the world of Tennis and by extension sports, after it was announced that Java Novotna had died at the age of 49. She had won the Grand Slam title in 1998 but was popular after she had burst into tears on the court on losing in the final in 1993. The family reported that she had passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.
