Rihanna and ASAP Rocky reportedly not dating despite reports

The Sun reported that according to a “Rihanna source”, Rihanna and Rocky were casually dating following her split from billionaire businessman, Hassan Jameel.

The source also added that they shared a room during her recent trip to New York City. “They shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York,” said an insider for The Sun. “However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan. They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days.”

E! News has now published a contradictory report claiming that Rocky and RiRi are not actually dating.

“Rihanna is single,” A source told E! News. “She wants to be single and isn’t going to jump into something. She’s hanging out with A$AP Rocky, but she is not dating him. They have a long history and she’s just having fun.”

The two do have a past, having been rumoured to be dating in 2013 and also posing on the British Fashion Awards red carpet in December.

It is unclear when RiRi and Hassan Jameel broke up, but the news broke on 17 January, the same day she was seen with Rocky a the Yams Day Festival in New York City. She was also seen with her ex-turned-friend Drake during that period.

Some fans claim that the two are indeed dating and she is just trying to keep out of the public light because of her very recent breakup, but really there’s no way to know. If Rihana says she’s single, then she is.
