Meet Pb.flex, winner of the Sidomex-Emma OhMa God mobile giveaway

Hello people, the winner of the Sidomex-Emma OhMa God mobile giveaway has since been announced by musician, Emma OhMa God, who picked Instagram user @pb.flex as the person with the most liked video on Instagram for the competition.

 

At the time of announcing the result, Flex’s video garnered over 2,000 likes to beat the nearest competitor.

We posted an update on the result and winner of the giveaway promo live on our social media pages but apparently, some of our readers wanted to see the result on the blog as well. Which is a good thing, it means you guys are awesome and following up on our activities and we love that! So thank you very much. Appreciated.

As per the competition guideline, pb.flex just like others who participated in the competition uploaded a video of himself dancing to the Emma OhMa God single Baba L’oke and tagged @sidomexuniversal handle on Instagram.

We reposted the video on our Instagram page. More people clicked on the little heart-shaped icon underneath his video more than at any of the other videos,  helping him emerge as the winner of the competition.

We learned a little about him when he came around to our office to collect his prize.

Asked why he participated in the promo?

“Because I wanted to win, of course”, he says. How could we ask such a dumb question?

And how did he learn about the competition?

“I started following your Instagram page when you guys released Alter Ego (the movie), and I have been a fan since. So, I get regular updates on my feeds.

“So when I saw the post for the competition I just have to be a part of it. I love the song, I love the brand, so what’s there to stop me? I quickly organised my guys to help film the video. I’m really happy it was the most liked of all the entries received.”

On his personal circumstance

Flex told us he is an undergraduate of the Federal University of Technology Akure, where he is studying Agricultural extension. He says he hopes to use the skills he’s learning to solve food crisis and help rural farmers learn modern techniques and improve their agricultural output.

When quizzed whether he had always wanted to be an agriculturist the young man says no. He had planned to be a computer scientist but life had other plans for him.

Does he regret it?

Absolutely no he says. “I wanted to be a computer scientist because I thought it was a cool thing to be,” he says. “But when I was offered admission to study Agricultural extension, I reluctantly accepted, but now I can’t exchange it for any (other) course in the world,” he declares.

“Sometimes, young people like me are not properly guided on career paths and we just want to study a course just because they sound glamorous,” he continues.

“But there are many courses out there that we can study, they are less competitive because not many people know about them. Moreover, we can learn skills to be self-employed as well, which is great,” he adds.
