Nigerian-Ghanian DJ, Music Producer & Afrocentric Urban Artist Cleopatra Amartey aka Sensei Lo has ‘funkyfied’ the CAC women classic Christmas song “Odun Nlo Sopin” and guess what, everyone can now vibe to the prayerful song in another light.
Sensei Lo is a qualified nurse and certified occupational health professional, graduating top of her class at Lagos State School of Nursing but she’s always yearned to do music with her key influences being Bob Marley, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Reeves, Dolly Parton, Prince, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson.
The CAC Good Women Choir released “Odun Nlo Sopin” in 1979 and it has transcended time to become one of the greatest evergreen songs in Nigerian history.
Sensei Lo has given a new vibe to the classic infusing EDM and house to rebranding the song for a different ear.
