Practically every 90s kid would listen to Ay.com’s “Pass Me Your Love” tune with sepia-clouded nostalgia reminiscent of the hopeful rise of touchscreen China phones with those annoyingly loud ringtones.

The popularity of the song definitely shot the artiste, Ay.com and his collaborator, Terry G, into household name territories as the smash hit song took them around the country and beyond.

Following the success of the song, several controversies and stories have trailed the artiste but in all, he has managed to keep a low profile away from all of the noise and razzmatazz of famous living. The artiste appears to have lived a rather quiet life by design.

The singer who is also a songwriter now seems to have lifted the hood off his personality as he bares it all on Sido Moments in a candid interview session.

He revealed his plans to reignite his venture into the music industry with features from Peruzzi, Praiz, and others, stating categorically that he never even left in the first place- contrary to widely circulated reports.

“I never left music for once,” the artiste, whose real name is Ayoola Johnson said. “I have been recording, I have been producing. Maybe there was not too much buzz because I didn’t put my 100 per cent attention in,” he continued.

Citing what he has been up to since his music career took a back seat in the order of things, the singer revealed he was involved in real estate and the fashion business but more importantly, he had taken time to raise and watch his children grow. He said, “Music is a jealous game, if you are doing music, you have to follow it wholeheartedly, you have to follow it 100 per cent.”

He further revealed that he is making a full return to the music industry because a lot of things are in place now. He has set up his family into a comfortable lifestyle and his kids are now grown enough to deal with life.

“Another major reason I am coming back is because of my fans. My fans are real and loyal; they never left. I love them so much. Each time I come on social media to check what is going on, I see my fans asking ‘where is Ay.com’? That hit me most times as I realized that people still want to hear my music,” he said noting with confidence that “there is more to give” as he returns.
