Monday Night Football: Leicester puts 4 past Leeds United; Ola Aina scores in Fulham win

Jamie Vardy scored once and set up two other goals to inspire Leicester City to an emphatic 4-1 away victory at Leeds United on Monday night football.

The win also means the Foxes move up to second place in the Premier League behind Liverpool who are the current leaders.

Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans scored in the first half ensuring the Foxes head into the break at Elland Road 2-0 up, though things could have been different had Patrick Bamford not squandered two clear cut opportunities.

Stuart Dallas pulled one back and many would have hoped to see a comeback but Pablo Hernandez could only rattle the crossbar next as Leeds came back after the break a different side.

But the hosts’ hopes of a comeback were dampened by Jamie Vardy 14 minutes from time when he scored his seventh league goal of the season before Tielemans wrapped it all up with his second of the night from the penalty spot.

The win makes it Leicester’s fourth consecutive away victory, lifts them a point behind leaders, Liverpool, while Leeds remain 12th in the table after losing back-to-back home games under Marcelo Bielsa for the first time.

Premier League Matchday 7The match was pretty much won in the space of four first-half minutes after Bobby Decordova-Reid’s scored via a header in the 26th minute, Nigeria’s Ola Aina fired in a thunderbolt four minutes later to bring Fulham into the lead.

West Brom could have gotten back into the game just before half-time had Karlan Grant not wasted a glorious chance as the match appear to be very difficult for Slaven Bilic’s side, who remain without a league win this season.
