A Nigerian professor teaching at the University of Agriculture Makurdi has shared a portion of the acknowledgement section of one of his final year students.
In the report, the unnamed student had written, “Special thanks to my sweetheart, Miss ### Torkwase Theresa for her encouragement throughout the course of this research work. She was really a source of inspiration and motivation for me“.
The professor who had blotted out Miss Theresa’s surname (to protect her, he claims), underlined the passage and rhetorically questioned: “How?”
A number of answers spring to mind but it would be interesting to hear the young man’s reply.
