After his split with his Plantashun Boiz in the early 2002’s, 2Face’s music career peaked non-stop. He is one of the few artists in Nigeria who has proven himself to be relevant over the course of two decades, serving as an inspiration and mentor to younger artists.
In honour of the artist who celebrated birthday yesterday, we’ve gone through his stellar discography to highlight his very best work. African Queen was the song that paved way for 2face. The song was released in 2004 and won over 13 awards worldwide.
The hit song – African Queen, was later used in 2006 as a soundtrack in a Hollywood movie titled: Phat Girlz.
2. For Instance
For Instance was released in 2006 off his second album, Grass 2 Grace.
3. Amaka
This is 2Face’s latest hit featuring Peruzzi.
4. Implication
Implication was off his fourth studio album, Unstoppable released in 2010.
5. Only Me
Only Me was released in 2010 off 2face Idibia’s fourth album, The Unstoppable. 2face advocates to fellow Nigerians to show love and solidarity, pointing out that life would be boring if people stood alone.
