Will Smith, The Fresh Prince turns 50: Here are his top 5 hit songs

Believe it or not, actor and singer, Will Smith, has clocked the big 5.0 on today.

Smith is planning to jump out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon starting at 2:45 pm. PT (that is 6:45 am tomorrow Nigeria time) and you can watch it on his YouTube channel.

Before his jump, we will make a list of his top 5 songs of all time. In no order of preference, we present to you:

1. Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It

The song was released on March 14, 1998, and ranked at #1  for 3 weeks on the Billboard chart and also spent an additional 32 weeks on the chart.

2. The Prince of Bel Air

The Prince of Bel Air was written by Quincy Jones (who also served as the TV show’s executive producer) and the lyrics were composed by Will Smith.

The song was released in the Netherlands as a single by Jive Records in 1992 and re-released in 2016 by the record label Enjoy the Ride.

3. Wild Wild West Will

Will Smith features Dru Hill & Kool Mo Dee in Wild Wild West in 199 which hit #1 once on the Billboard 100 chart and stayed on the chart for 17 weeks

4. Switch

Switch released on June 12, 2005, stayed on the Billboard Chart for 28 weeks and ranked at #7
