The 74-year-old Nollywood actor advised women not to leave their cheating husbands in the one-minute video clip. “If you think your husband leaves the house, says he is going on a tour and he is going to have an affair outside,” Edochie says. “Put a packet of condom inside his bag,” he advice, “when he sees it, psychologically, he is going to think ‘this woman has my interest at heart’, if it is his intention to stray, he will pull himself together.”
Additionally, he said that the concept of women remarrying does not suit Nigerian women.
The video clip came from Adakarl TV’s “How I Met Your Mother” recent episode. At the beginning of the video, Pete Edochie mentioned that he is not a chauvinist, misogynist, nor sexist before going on to call the men of today ‘very weak’.
Not all the tweets are actually in disagreement with the actor’s views. Also, some explained that Edochie was from a time very different from what we live in now and thus, his views will definitely not conform with what many see as acceptable today.
