The rapper had been in the spotlight for about two years since the release of his breakout single, Lucid Dreams. He released an album in March 2019 that took the number one spot on the Billboard charts.

TMZ reported that the rapper had a seizure at the airport after disembarking from a plane. He was alive when he was taken to the hospital but died shortly after.

However, Juice Wrld had previously rapped about not living past twenty-one, in a song. He rapped: “What’s the 27 club? We ain’t making it past 21.”

In Tonto’s note, she wrote about the need to speak positively of oneself. She also spoke about how the mouth is the greatest tool for man. She wrote:

“He said he would die at 21..
Yesterday he died at 21..
“I can’t OVER emphasis how important it is to speak of your self positively wether it be thru songs, poems, write up or straight Talk..

“If you don’t learn this for your own good, Atleast do so for the ones who love and cherish you!!
Use it to get rich not kill yourself and others..
Your death isn’t painful to you as it is to the Loved ones you Leave behind..
