Following his arrest last week, Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has registered as a sex offender in California.
Kenneth Petty, who is married to the popular rapper, was detained in federal custody, after turning himself in last week Wednesday for failing to register as a sex offender.
Petty has been convicted of first-degree attempted rape 25 years ago in New York where he served four years. He was ordered to register as a sex offender after his release but he failed to re-register when he moved to California in July 2019 and he was arrested for that.
Petty pleaded ”not guilty” to charges at the Los Angeles Superior Court. A few hours after his appearance in court, he registered as a sex offender in the state.
According to the New York State’s Sex Offender Registry, an offender must notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of any change of address.
