On Monday 24th February 2020, over 20,000 people gathered at the Los Angeles’ Staples Center to remember Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant and to also pay tribute to the deceased who died on 26 January 2020.
Following the tragic death of NBA star Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, a private burial ceremony was held in their honour. The two were buried in a private ceremony on Friday, 7 February 2020. Kobe and Gianni Bryant were reportedly buried at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, California.
However, Vanessa, the widow of Kobe and mother Gianni Bryant promised a memorial ceremony open to the general public so that fans could pay tribute to Kobe and Gianna. The memorial held last night at the Los Angeles’ Staple Center and over 20,000 attendance was recorded.
Speakers at the memorial included fellow athletes and celebrities from Beyonce to Micheal Jordan, who paid tribute to both Bryants.
Kobe’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, also delivered a powerful tribute at the memorial service. Watch below:
