Kelly Price is safe despite missing person report

Famous gospel and R&B singer Kelly Price is safe despite the missing person report filed in Cobb County.

Police officials confirmed that Price was missing after being discharged from the hospital, where she was being treated for COVID-19 on Friday, 24 September 2021. A missing person report was then made with the local authorities.

However, according to reports from TMZ, her representatives are claiming that she is not missing but is safely recovering from her hospital stay in private.

Her lawyer, Monica Ewing, stated that she doesn’t believe Price was ever actually missing but that she went to “a quiet place” to recover after recently being discharged.

“She’s safe. She was released from the hospital with Covid and she went to a quiet place, and she’s trying to recover. She’s got to rest and start the journey back to health,” Ewing said.

Also, the police are yet to confirm that her missing person investigation has been closed. The last time Kelly Price, 48, was seen on Instagram was when she announced that she was sick with COVID-19 on her page, on 29 July 2021, and she has not posted again since.

The singer had earlier informed her followers that she wasn’t admitted to a hospital, at the time.

According to reports from her family, she was admitted to the hospital about a week after she made the post.

The musician is famous by her debut 1998 single “Friend of Mine”. The single topped Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and she has more than a dozen other hits.

In April 2021, she released her gospel EP Grace. While Kelly Price has had a successful solo career, she has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in showbusiness which includes Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, the Notorious B.I.G., and Whitney Houston.

In April 2020, Price’s grandfather, Jerome Norman Jr., who was the former pastor at the Full Gospel Mission, Church of God in Christ in Queens, New York, died from COVID-19.

Six months later, her mother, Claudia Price-North, the former musical director at the church that primed Price’s singing career, also died unexpectedly.

One can say that the singer has been through a lot of grief recently and we hope that she is okay.
