Manchester United started the domestic campaign well, with consecutive 4-0 wins and seemed destined to keep flying but have been stumped in recent games and now sit far behind Manchester City, but they have received injury news boosts.
Coach, Jose Mourinho, have confirmed that the three first team players who have been out injured for quite some time will be returning to action this weekend against Newcastle United.
Ibrahimovic had received a warning from his doctor Dr Freddie Fu last month about rushing back into the first team because of his age, but the defiant Swede is reported to be among the players the club will name to face Newcastle.
Along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the Argentine left full back, Marcos Rojo, who has been out of action since April. Rojo had played with Manchester United’s U-23 on Wednesday and will be making a return to the first team.
And strengthening the midfield is Paul Pogba, who was rumored to be returning after the international break. He was injured since September, but has now made full recovery and will be included in the match.
Jose Mourinho had said that without the players they had learned to play, but with them back, they will be much stronger.
He hailed Ibrahimovic’s decision of taking the risk as an incredible one and has said their return provides the team with many more options.
