40-year-old Jessica Simpson shows off her wide thigh gap in new Christmas photo and fans are curious about how she lost 100 pounds of weight within one year.
The photo in question appears to have been accidental. It shows Simpson’s wide thigh gap as her sweatpants fall to her knees. Underneath, she is wearing a longsleeve onesie.
“So I thought Eric [Johnson] was taking a photo from the waist up…?,” she wrote in the caption.

The photo sparked a host of positive and surprised reactions in the comment section. Jessica Alba, January Jones, Ruby Rose and many other fans were asking the same question: how did Jessica Simpson lose 100 pounds of weight within one year?
The former singer who is currently a fashion designer once joked that chasing her kids all day helped her keep in shape. She had her third child, Birdie, in March 2019.

Jessica Simpson’s personal trainer Harley Pasternak mentioned that she practised getting 14,000 steps a day. Also, she did full-body workouts.
“We slowly ramped those up; we started really easy and slowly increased them,” Pasternak told E! News. “We started with doing a full-body workout, one set of each exercise, not really doing too much intensity per body part and gradually increasing the volume and intensity. Focusing on a few muscle groups per day. Different muscles each day of the week.”
The result is that Jessica Simpson currently feels as fit as she did before she started bearing children. She herself also revealed that her husband of six years, Eric Johnson also influenced her fitness journey.
Johnson is a former NFL player. “I also have the most active husband ever. If you marry an athlete, you got to stay on your feet,” Simpson said.
